Microsoft Speaker Idol Final Competition to be held at the Orlando .NET Code Camp!
The Florida Microsoft Community Speaker Idol Competition is an exciting and challenging event where developers across the state speak on topics of interest to them. The purpose of the Microsoft Speaker Idol competition is to enable lesser known members of the technical community to be recognized for their talents and speaking abilities. Our goal is to find “diamonds in the rough” and future thought leaders in User Groups and Code Camps across the state. The Microsoft Speaker Idol competition will consist of three phases: User Group, Regional, and Finals.
The User Group and Regional competitions have been held, and Florida's finest speakers will be competing on March 27th at the 2010 Orlando .NET Code Camp. Each finalist is allotted approximately 10 minutes (depending on individual event rules) to deliver their message and compete against others in their competition. Prizes include XBox 360s, Zune HD's, and $200s per contestant for travel expenses.
All Regional finalists will be recorded on digital video and published on MSDN's Channel 9 as well as the Russ' ToolShed. The top contestant will be honored and given the distinction of being the winner of Florida’s 2010 Microsoft Community Speaker Idol Competition. Speaker Waivers will need to be signed before the event begins. Those in attendance at the finals will also need to sign a waiver as the will be in crowd reaction shots.
Please support your region and watch as the finalists compete head to head at Orlando CodeCamp!
